This is an entry-level controller role across Fly n Pay Later, Quantum Health and FuelCapp Technologies, working with the finance lead: month-end, reconciliations, supplier and customer ledgers, and the reporting the leadership team runs on. You will also see how a pay-later book is funded and how a practice revenue business collects.
What you will do
Run the month-end close: journals, accruals, reconciliations
Keep the bank, supplier and customer ledgers reconciled and current
Prepare management accounts and the monthly reporting pack
Support VAT and tax submissions and the annual audit
Build and maintain the reporting the business runs on, in spreadsheets and the accounting system
What we are looking for
Accurate, and uncomfortable with a number that does not tie
Comfortable in spreadsheets, and interested in the systems behind them
Able to explain a variance to someone who is not an accountant
Organised around deadlines
A degree in accounting, finance or financial management fits well. Articles completed or in progress are an advantage, not a requirement.
